Have I been hacked?

Probably not in the Hollywood sense. The vast majority of "hacks" we see are actually browser hijackers, ad-injecting extensions or scam pop-ups. They are annoying and dangerous but very fixable. We will tell you exactly what we found and what (if anything) was at risk.

Disconnect from the internet, do not call any numbers on the screen, and call us. If you gave them remote access or any payment information we can guide you through securing your accounts and contacting your bank.

Will my files be safe?

In almost every case, yes. We only touch malicious files, not your personal data. If your files have been encrypted by ransomware we will assess recovery options before any work begins.
